The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is the official statement of the Town's financial position on June 30, at the close of the fiscal year. It has four parts:
- Introduction - Listing of officials, brief history of Cary, statement of Town government values and responsibilities, organizational chart
- Financial Section - Management analysis, basic financial statements, required supplementary pension information, associated independent auditor's report
- Statistical Section - Comparative data, graphs and other information on taxes, revenues, expenditures, debt, socioeconomic data
- Compliance Section - Schedules of federal and state awards (grants), including independent auditor opinions on compliance; debt coverage calculations in the Utility Systems Enterprise Fund as required with revenue bonds.
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is also available for inspection at the Cary Community Library or at Finance Department office, 316 N. Academy St.
