The Cary Town Council was officially presented the Recommended Fiscal Year 2017 Budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Fiscal Year 2017 covers the time period from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

The Adopted Budget, including the changes approved by Council, was adopted by the Town Council on June 27, 2016.

Budget at a Glance
Property Tax Rate 35 cents per $100 of property valuation
Sanitation Fee $16 per month
Utility Rates Increase of 3.8% for residential customers (view the detail utility rates by tier)
Planning and Development Review Fees Many fees related to the review of planning and development documents are proposed to increase in order to improve cost recovery of these review services. View the full FY 2017 Schedule of Fees and Charges.
Encroachment Permit Fee The Adopted Budget includes a proposal to charge fees for right-of-way encroachment permits. View the full FY 2017 Schedule of Fees and Charges.
