Cary is currently under a Stay-at-Home order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most public-facing and staffed facilities are closed to the public, including Town Hall. The Citizen's Convenience Center will be temporarily closed for maintenance on Monday, April 6. It will reopen on Tuesday, April 7 and continue accepting residential solid waste, recycling, and yard waste throughout the week, including Friday, April 10. If you need to dispose of waste while the Convenience Center is closed, you can find a list of facilities here. Visitors are asked to observe social distancing guidelines and safety when dropping off materials.

This site accepts residential solid waste, recycling and yard waste for proper disposal.

  • Commercial use and waste from private contractors including landscape companies, is prohibited.
  • Unloading from box trucks/U-Haul type vans is prohibited.
