In support of Wake County’s announcement of restrictions designed to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Cary has closed playgrounds effective Monday, March 23 at 8 a.m. until further notice. Greenways, parks, and restrooms within parks will remain open at this time. Per Governor Cooper's Executive Order 147, masks are now required in all public spaces where social distancing is not possible at all times. Learn more.

Walnut Street Park is located in central Cary on 11 acres of land. Park visitors may stroll down the brick promenade, walk the scenic paved trails, overlook wetlands on boardwalks, play on our unique twisty play structure or have a picnic in the open lawn.
