In support of Wake County’s announcement of restrictions designed to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Cary has closed playgrounds effective Monday, March 23 at 8 a.m. until further notice. Greenways, parks, and restrooms within parks will remain open at this time. Walnut Street Park is located in central Cary on 11 acres of land. Park visitors may stroll down the brick promenade, walk the scenic paved trails, overlook wetlands on boardwalks, play on our unique twisty play structure or have a picnic in the open lawn.
