This outdoor workshop covers tips and techniques for home gardening, urban agriculture, making your own compost at home, historical farming practices, and much more.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Compost Giveaway Workshops have been postponed. The rescheduled dates are to be determined. Workshops registrants will be contacted via email with more information.

How to Register
To register, go to myCary.org and search for "Compost Giveaway Workshop." Note that if you have not done so, you will need to create an account with myCary to register for this workshop. A five dollar administrative processing fee is due upon registration.
What to Expect
Classes are held at our urban agriculture project site, Good Hope Farm. Together we will learn about the oldest form of recycling on Earth: composting! Along with a tour of this historic working farm, participants will receive three bags of compost, two home guide books full of composting and gardening tips, and 30 minutes of instruction with a compost expert.
Classes are open to Town of Cary residents only. Registration is required and remain open until full. Space is limited.
