The Senior Center will undergo renovations in March to accommodate a new transit position as well as address facility modifications identified in the ADA Transition Plan.
The project is scheduled to begin March 11 and will be completed in late spring. The spaces being renovated include the administrative offices, customer service, fitness room, and library/computer lab. Additional areas of the facility will be impacted, as the staff work area will be relocated to the ballroom and some space will be used for storage.
Approximately half of the 200 programs and activities have been cancelled with the other half moved to other spaces. Staff is in the process of notifying participants via phone, email, posting flyers around the building and information will be included on the senior center home page. The senior center will remain open for the duration of construction.
Facility Update: All programs in classrooms 302, 303 and 306 will resume June 3. Ballroom, Conference Room, and Media Room programs have been cancelled through the month of June. All exercise classes will continue to take place in Ballroom 2 until further notice. For more information contact the Cary Senior Center.

Programs & Classes
Transportation is included unless the event is marked with the word 'Meetup.' In the brochure, these gatherings are noted with a car symbol.
What are Meetups?
CSC's trip guide will welcome participants and distribute nametags before the event begins at the Meetup site. Registration is required. Drive yourself, carpool with friends, or use GoCary's door-to-door service. Transportation is not included.
Is there a North Carolina site you've always wanted to visit? How about a U.S. site that's on your bucket list? I'm looking for travel destination; day and overnight trip suggestions are welcome. Share your thoughts and let's go places!
With the Town of Cary securing a vehicle for use by CSC, we'll be able to schedule trips which may not be advertised in one of the program guides. If your schedule is flexible, you may want to join the Short-Notice Trip List. The trips will have a three- to six-week lead time instead of the usual three- to four-month notice and registration period.
Email your trip suggestions to email@example.com and indicate if you'd like your contact information added to the Short-Notice Trip List, too.
