The Herbert C. Young Community Center features several areas for recreation programs, special events and meeting rooms. The center contains a double gymnasium on the lower level for athletic programs, open gym play, as well as fitness and activity classes. This large, flat space can also be used for special events, performances, and meetings. The upper level features two meeting rooms with adjacent kitchen for catering. Locker rooms are available.
Herbert C. Young Community Center provides so many opportunities for you to engage in your community through fitness classes, recreation activities, camps, athletic programs and other events. A wide range of classes and programs are offered year-round at the center. You may also register for classes online.

Community Center Rental Information
The Herbert C. Young Community Center features several areas for celebrations and special occasions.
- Meeting Room A can accommodate 200 seated or 250 theater style
- Meeting Room B can accommodate 85 seated or 175 standing, mingling guests.
If your party is larger than 200, our gymnasium can be converted into a banquet hall just for your event. The Herbert C. Young Community Center is suitable for rehearsal dinners, banquets, Quinceañeras and wedding receptions.

Picnic Shelters Rental Information
Town of Cary picnic shelters may be reserved year-round. Reservations are accepted by residents no more than six months in advance, nonresidents five months in advance. There is a two hour minimum and full fee is due at booking. To reserve, call a community center.
