I am a digital photographer. I send my images to professional labs to print on metal, canvas, photo paper and cardstock. I frame the prints myself. For boxed notecards, I purchase empty card boxes and gold bows. I fold the cards myself and put 8 cards and 8 envelopes in a box and close & finish with a gold bow.For matted prints, I buy professional mats and bags from a reputable matting company. I mat the photos myself and place them in a bag with matching backing, and a business card.
I am a digital landscape and nature photographer who seeks to engage the viewer with images that capture a moment and evoke emotion. The interface of land and water is a common theme in my work. I print on fine art paper. I mat and frame my work using archival quality materials. All prints are limited editions, signed and numbered.
Star trails photography using various exposures from 30 secs to 3 hours. A red flashlight is also employed. No Photoshop is used. Color photos printed using archival digital techniques.
I use a DSLR and strive to capture what I see in camera. Grad ND filters balance my exposure on sunrise & sunset instead of relying as heavily on post processing. My goal is to show you what I saw. All my colors and skies are natural and what I captured in camera. The key to true color is placing the white point and black point at their true points on the color spectrum.
My photographic images are hand mounted to a variety of surfaces; canvas, wood and ceramic tiles. The use of different sealers gives the illusion of brush strokes. I don't use Photoshop but rather get the composition as I shoot the photo. When taking a picture, my goal is to zero in on that moment when you can feel the sun on your face, hear the ocean in your ears and feel the sand between your toes.

Our images are printed on gallery wrapped canvas, metal, metallic and fine art papers.
My artwork is created first by exploring my environment, be it the beach, a wildlife refuge, or country road, with my digital camera to find compelling subject matter. I shoot only in natural light and use Nikon cameras. My images are then minimally processed using Adobe Lightroom to achieve pleasing compositions, colors and light. I print selected images on high-quality archival photo papers and then do my own matting and framing.
I am the owner of NC Hot Spot Photography. As you browse through my photography you will get a glimpse into my everyday life. My obsession for things like doors, buildings, and landscapes began at a very early age. The thrill of finding a dilapidated building to photograph is exciting to me. I am a woman who is obsessed with seeing things with a different eye and catching all the beauty N.C. has to offer. I’m thrilled for the chance to share my passion of photography with the world.
