The Façade Improvement Program assists property and business owners within the Town Center Area Plan boundary to undertake storefront or building front improvements. These can range from minor repairs and painting to substantial façade renovations on buildings used for commercial or office purposes.
The intent is to increase the attractiveness of downtown, increase patronage of downtown businesses and attract more private investment in the Town Center area.
How the Program Works
Approved property owners or tenants who improve the exteriors of existing businesses may seek reimbursement for half the cost, depending on the amount.
Reimbursement would be through deferred loans the Town would provide using federal grants. Under certain conditions, the loans could be forgiven after three years.

Application for assistance
- Encourage well-designed improvements
- Restore significant architectural elements of the structure
- Coordinate the important features of a commercial or office storefront into a more visually attractive package
The program will be funded through the Town’s Community Development Block Grant and administered by the Planning and Development Services Department. This is a multi year grant to promote economic development and provides incentives for more private investment downtown.
