The 2018 water main replacement project is divided into two parts, Part A and Part B, as indicated in the street segments shown in the map below and listed beneath. The water mains on these streets will be upgraded to ductile iron pipe designed to the current Town of Cary standards in order to continue providing high-quality water service to these areas. Select an area of the map for details, including the corresponding project manager. 

 

 

Part A

This project involves replacing the water main along a portion of Balmoral Drive (south of Highland Trail), a portion of Warren Avenue (Walnut Street to E. Cornwall Road), a portion of Ralph Drive (Walnut Street to Carolyn Court), a portion of Carolyn Court (Warren Avenue to Ralph Drive), a portion of Pleasants Avenue (Warren Avenue to Ralph Drive), Castlewood Drive, Amesbury Lane, Castlewood Court, a portion of Pond Street (south of Hastings Place) and Cheswick Place. 

Part B

This project involves replacing the water main along a portion of W. Park Street (east of W. Chatham Street to S. West Street), a portion of S. Dixon Avenue (W. Park Street to dead end), a portion of E. Park Street (Hunter Street to Holtz Lane), a portion of Clay Street (E. Park Street to Webster Street), and the Meadowmont subdivision which includes Dowell Drive, Meadow Drive, Spring Street, Kinsey Circle and a portion of Austin Ave (Meadow Drive to Dowell Drive).

 
Project Award: The Project for both Part A and Part B have been awarded to Pipeline Utilities, Inc.

Schedule: Construction for both projects is underway and anticipated to be complete by spring 2019.  While the contractor may schedule work on one segment at a time, there is possibility of adding crews to work in more than one area simultaneously as needed.
