Fiscal Year 2018 Rehabilitation Project
The FY18 Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation Project is underway. NAPM, the General Contractor, has begun initial sewer cleaning and inspection on the Walnut Creek Outfall and the Harrison Oaks Interceptor (refer to the maps under the “Locations” header).
On the Walnut Creek Outfall, the contractor plans to start work on the area between Cary Towne Boulevard and Buck Jones Road. This will require placement of temporary drainage pipes to cross Walnut Creek at the east end of Ivy Lane and at the Walnut Creek Pump Station near Buck Jones Road. It will also require removing a few trees and the placement of mats to support trucks and equipment in the sewer easement.
Work on the Harrison Oaks Interceptor will require a temporary connection to an existing 12-inch force main pipe on North Harrison Avenue near Harrison Oaks Boulevard and placement of a temporary above-ground pipeline from this temporary connection to the North Cary Water Reclamation Facility on Old Reedy Creek Road.
