Construction Update - March 2020

Garrett James Company, LLC is the selected contractor and is in the process of installing necessary infrastructure for underground conduit, electrical wiring, and fiber optics for traffic signal communication. The project was originally scheduled for completion in March of 2020, but due to an equipment failure with the manufacturer, delivery of the mast arm poles has been delayed. At this time we still expect the traffic signal to be in full operation by May 2020.

Project Background

Town Council authorized staff to design and construct a traffic signal at the intersection of Weston Parkway at Sheldon Drive/Weston Estates Way utilizing Capital Project fund ST 1271. This project includes a CCTV camera, fiber optic cabling, and future considerations for pedestrian amenities. The estimated construction cost for the traffic signal is $400,000. The project was originally scheduled for completion in March of 2020.
