This project provides funds for major facility maintenance and upgrades to the Town’s older fire stations. FY20 appropriations support bathroom and/or kitchen renovations at stations 3, 4 and 5. These stations range in age from 24 to 33 years old. FY20 appropriations also provided for the station assessments of Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. These assessments identify major maintenance needs and provide a 20 year capital plan for each station.
Appropriations of FY 2021 supports a station assessments of the Fire Administration Building and Stations 2, 8, and 9.
Project Cost and Schedule
$182,000 was appropriated in FY20, while $100,000 was appropriated in FY21. To mitigate potential Fire staff exposure to COVID-19, fire station renovation projects were delayed until FY21.
- Winter 2020: Complete assessments of Stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
- Fall 2020: Complete assessments of the Fire Administration Building and Stations 2, 8, and 9.
- Fall 2020: Fire station renovations at Stations, 3, 4, and 5.
