Sheila Ogle has been, and continues to be, one of the most prominent business leaders, philanthropists, and supporters of the Town of Cary. She has dedicated her life to helping this town bloom into one of the best places to live in the country. Sheila wants everyone in Cary to succeed. Whether that's providing opportunity through creating jobs, assisting those in need through charitable work, or mentoring future generations of Cary leaders, she has always been there for the people of Cary. This quote best exemplifies her dedication to the town's citizens: "I love watching them become successful, strong leaders, and upstanding citizens."

Just a few examples of her lifetime of community involvement and contributions to Cary's growth and prosperity include:

  • Founding member of the Cary Community Foundation founding
  • Member of the Cary Women's Giving Network
  • Starting the Cary Innovation Center in Downtown Cary
  • Operating the historical Cary landmark Matthew's House

Sheila Ogle is the ideal candidate for the Hometown Spirit Award.  She works tirelessly for Cary and all citizens to thrive.
