In observance of Thanksgiving, several Cary services will be unavailable or modified on Thursday & Friday, November 26 & 27. Facilities will remain closed, and curbside collection for Thursday will move one day later to Friday. The Finance Department administers the financial affairs of the Town. Financial functions are organized into four divisions: Accounting, Budget, Procurement and Risk Services, and Utility Accounts. 

The Accounting Division maintains accounting and financial systems, and provides payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable services. The division provides regulatory and informational reporting and prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Cash and investments, debt, grants, and Paperless Payroll are also managed in Accounting. Risk management services includes administration of the Town's property and casualty insurance program and claims management. Download the Town of Cary claim form.

The Budget Division's responsibilities include directing the planning, development and execution of the Town’s annual operating and capital improvements budgets. Budget functions of the division also include Council goal-setting, funding source identification, revenue and expenditure forecasts, and Town-wide projects such as performance measurement and operational studies.

The Procurement Division provides centralized purchasing services for all departments within the Town government. It is located at the Town's Operations Center and is also responsible for the Town's mail, copy and courier services, management of surplus property, central warehouse operations and capital assets inventory management. 

The Utility Accounts Division is responsible for utility billing and collection and works in conjunction with 311Cary. The division provides citizen service, manages the water meter reading system, and bills and collects for utility services.

Visit us from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on Town holidays. Park in the free, designated visitor parking spaces on the circular drive off Ambassador Loop Road or any level of the parking deck. Enter Town Hall from one of these entrances:

  • The glass doors off Ambassador Loop Road, you will see the words "South Entrance" written above the glass entrance doors  (The service window will be located on the right); 
  • The three-fountain courtyard (The service window will be located on the left);
  • From North Academy Street (the window is straight ahead).

A utility bill drop box is located off Ambassador Loop next to the designated parking spaces. A drop box can also be found outside the Cary Senior Center in Bond Park.
