On Monday, November 11 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., the Town of Cary invites the public to an observance at the Veterans Freedom Park, 1513 N. Harrison Ave., to honor veterans of all wars and conflicts. The event will include speakers, patriotic music, a Field of Flags and Cary’s Special Forces, toy soldiers that citizens can write a soldier's name on and place in the memorial to honor all of those who have served in the armed forces. These soldiers will be saved and placed in the monument every Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

There will be a handicap accessible shuttle running from Cary Academy's parking lot to the event at Veterans Freedom Park. There will also be a police-provided crosswalk available to those who wish to walk from the parking lot instead of taking the shuttle. Visit townofcary.org/veteransday for complete event details.
