Friday, July 19

Bands, Bites & Boats
Bond Park Boathouse, 5-8 p.m.
One Friday a month, the Bond Park Boathouse hosts musicians, food trucks, and after-hours boat rentals. This week, enjoy music by Garth Robertson, food from Cousins Maine Lobster, and beverages from Fortnight. For more, Bands, Bites & Boats.

Greensky Bluegrass
Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 6:30 p.m.
A live force of nature renowned for bringing rock ‘n’ roll showmanship to high-energy bluegrass, Greensky Bluegrass has sold out hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the legendary Ryman Auditorium, and on Friday, they'll hit the stage at Koka Booth. For more, visit Koka Booth Events

OnStage@The Cary: Cary Playwrights’ Forum presents: NC 10 X 10
The Cary Theater, 7:30 p.m.
OdysseyStage Theatre teams up with Cary Playwrights’ Forum to present its second annual festival of ten-minute plays. Two groups produce five plays each, with all ten being shown at each performance. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling (800) 514-3849, in person at the Cary Box Office located at The Cary Theater (122 E. Chatham St.) or one hour prior to each show. Saturday, July 20

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
135 W Chatham Street, 8 a.m. to Noon
The Cary Downtown Farmers Market is ‘Cool Beans’ this weekend!  Join us this Saturday as we highlight the wonderfully delicious and nutritious Bean. Gear up for a morning full of live music, farm fresh produce, local goods, and handmade crafts. The Chefs Corner is featuring falafel and succotash, which offers a colorful, hearty and healthy meal option for your menu rotation. Be sure to stop by the Kids Table to learn more about beans and create collages out of your favorite legumes!  

Garden Open House
Carpenter Park Community Garden, 9-11 a.m.
Tour the garden and leave with helpful tips to help grow your own food organically at home!
This monthly event includes a hands-on activity for kids, the chance to get your hands dirty (and maybe try some veggies)! Staff will be onsite to answer your questions about gardening, pollinators, or composting.
All ages welcome. No registration required.

Cary Live featuring Wyland
Downtown Park, 7-9 p.m.
Wyland visits Cary to fill Downtown Park with their brand of American rock. Food trucks and local breweries will be on site and start serving at 6 p.m. so come out early for the best seats. You are free to also bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. For more, visit Cary Live.

NC Symphony Presents: Annual Beach Party Starring the Embers
