Citizens using their grills or deep fryers this holiday are reminded to properly dispose of any cooking fats, oils and grease by taking advantage of the residential waste cooking oil curbside recycling program. Simply place cooled, used cooking oil and grease in a plastic screw-top food container. Once at least a half-gallon (approximately one, 2-liter soda bottle) is collected, properly label the container “Used Cooking Oil,” and call us at (919) 469-4090 or visit services.townofcary.org to schedule a free curbside pickup.

Finally, all are invited to the Town’s annual Independence Day celebrations July 3-5. Details are available at www.townofcary.org/july4. For a quick rundown of the Town’s annual holiday operations, visit www.townofcary.org/holidayschedule or call (919) 469-4007.
