Saturday, June 22

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
135 W. Chatham Street, 8 a.m.-noon 
Visit the Cary Downtown Farmers Market to shop for farm fresh produce, local food, and unique handmade gifts. Movement at the Market (Yoga) returns this Saturday at 10 a.m.! Balance your mind and body with a free yoga session to help you ease into the weekend. Enjoy live music, kids activities and stop by our Chef's Corner to taste a simple and satisfying stir fry noodle dish.

 

Baristas and Bakers
Downtown Park, 8 - 11 a.m.
Every month, a different Cary-area coffee and baked goods shop sets up inside the Downtown Park for visitors to purchase featured, seasonal, and favorite morning blends and pastries. This month, the Mayton Inn will have some great seasonal roast and their iced coffee and Once In A Blue Moon Bakery will have delightful pastries and baked goods. After you've grabbed your breakfast, don't forget to walk around the corner to the Cary Downtown Farmer's Market, open 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Ivey-Ellington House (135 W. Chatham Street). 

 

Free Wildlife Education Event
Meet at Downtown Park 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Bring your smart phones and walking shoes and join us for this citizen science event! Learn more about what kinds of wildflowers we have planted in downtown Cary that help support pollinators. Participants are invited to download the iNaturalist app and stroll along with us while one of our environmental educators identifies native flowers and what kinds of birds, bees, and butterflies depend on them for food and shelter.
