Cary, NC – Grab your basket and meet the Easter Bunny in Cary on Saturday, April 13. Join the big guy with floppy ears for a delicious continental breakfast provided by the Cary Teen Council at the Herb Young Community Center from 9-10 a.m. At Fred G. Bond Metro Park, starting at 9 a.m., join us for Easter fun and games, including a bounce house, a magic show, Town of Cary police cars and fire trucks, face painting, and refreshments. Be sure to head to the spillway for the Egg Hunt at noon; the Eggstravaganza for special needs children, also at noon, will be held inside Bond Park Community Center.
Tickets and registration are required for Breakfast with the Bunny. Tickets are $5 for ages 10 and older; $4 for ages 3-9; and free with an “eat free pass” for ages 2 and younger. Your ticket includes admission to the breakfast, as well as a private egg hunt immediately following breakfast. Tickets are being sold at the Herb Young Community Center until Friday, April 12. No tickets will be available the morning of the event.
The Egg Hunt is open to ages 10 and younger and is free with no registration required. The Eggstravaganza is free for ages 12 and younger with special needs; registration is encouraged using course code 121684. In the spirit of encouraging healthy lifestyles, all plastic eggs will be filled with toys instead of candy. Children can find special eggs that contain a certificate redeemable for a prize, which must be claimed that same day.
In case of rain, the festivities at Bond Park will be held the following day on Sunday, April 14. Updates on weather status will be posted to www.townofcary.org/rainout and on Town social media.
While there is plenty of parking in and around Bond Park, remember there is a GoCary stop at the community center in the park; the park is also connected to several greenway trails.
