Friday, April 5 

National High School Invitational (NHSI)
USA Baseball National Training Complex, various, $10 daily ticket
The NHSI, hosted by the USA Baseball Organization, is a single-elimination championship tournament, with each participating team guaranteed to play four games.  NHSI brings together 16 of the top high school teams from the across the country to compete the coveted title. Bands, Bites & Boats
Sertoma Amphitheater at Bond Park, 5-8 p.m.
One Friday a month, the Bond Park Boathouse hosts musicians, food trucks, and after-hours boat rentals. Due to construction at the Bond Lake waterfront, April's event is moved to the Sertoma Amphitheater. There will be music from Chris Overstreet, food from Spanglish and Southern Peak is the featured brewery.

Saturday, April 6

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, New Hours: 8 a.m.- Noon
It is Springtime at the Cary Downtown Farmers Market (CDFM)! Many veteran and new vendors return this weekend for an exciting and plentiful Market. The CDFM is open from 8am - Noon, in conjunction with the Cary Road Race events.  Keep those running shoes on and sprint to the Market to stock up on fresh seasonal produce, meats, plants, mushrooms, pastries, coffee, handmade treasures and so much more!

NC BMX Series Stop II
Sk8-Cary, Registration opens at 10 a.m., open to spectators at 11 a.m
Cary is hosting the second stop of the NC BMX Series! This series is partnered with the UCI (Union Cycliste International, or, the International Cyclists’ Union) to bring an Elite BMX Freestyle Competition to Cary. This event allows elite BMX athletes from all over the world to earn points towards their qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Marvelous Music Family Series: Lexington Children’s Theatre presents Rapunzel
Cary Arts Center, 3 p.m.
Growing up is hard. Just ask Rapunzel. She loves color and paint, birds, and the sea, but all her Nan seems to love is being safe, and safe isn’t very fun! As her hair grows longer, her tower grows higher, and her curiosity grows bigger. Find out what happens when our feisty friend Rapunzel decides it’s time for a little adventure!
