Cary Town Government Closes for MLK, Trash Bumps One Day
- Cary Town Hall and most staffed facilities will close January 21.
- Curbside collection will be bumped one day for all citizens, moving to Tuesday-Friday.
- GoCary will operate Sunday-level service; and operating Sunday Route 300.
Cary, NC – Cary Town Hall will close Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. While most staffed facilities – including community and arts centers – will also be closed, the Cary Tennis Park and Sk8 Cary will be open and operate under normal hours. Citizens are asked to call the facility before visiting for specific operating hours. The Citizen’s Convenience Center, 313 N. Dixon Ave., will operate under holiday hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. GoCary will operate Sunday-level service; and operating Sunday Route 300.
During the week of January 21, garbage, recycling and yard waste will be collected one day later. Carts should be at the curb and away from mailboxes, fire hydrants and light poles by 7 a.m.
