Cary’s CERT Training Prepares You For When Disaster Strikes

Cary, NC - Become trained in community emergency response and be prepared to respond after a natural or “man-made” disaster strikes. Cary’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) graduates are trained to take care of themselves first and then help others in their communities for up to the first three days following incidents such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, winter storms, or man-made disasters.  This training includes disaster preparedness, fire extinguisher use, emergency medicine, light search and rescue, and disaster psychology.  Register before January 7, 2018; the free training seminar meets January 18th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. and January 19th and 20th from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Wake County Fire Training Center located at 5413 Shearon Harris Rd, New Hill, NC 27562. Classes are limited to 25 participants. Registration is open to everyone age 18 and above and to ages 14-17 with a participating adult.
