Friday, October 12

Films @ The Cary: Beyond Silent: The Cameraman
The Cary Theater, 2 p.m.
Buster Keaton’s silent film classic “The Cameraman” with an original score written by the Triangle’s own Jon Shain performed live by Jon Shain and FJ Ventre.  In addition, the duo will perform a set of original music after the film. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling (800) 514-3849, in person at the Cary Box Office located at The Cary Theater (122 E. Chatham St.) or one hour prior to each show. Saturday, October 13

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Enjoy a dose of community at the Cary Downtown Farmers Market as you shop an abundance of fall crops, crafts, and artisan goods!  Join us this Saturday from 8-12:30 for fresh local food, live music and fun activities for kids. Rain or Shine.

Cary Diwali
Koka Booth Amphitheatre; 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Enjoy Indian dance, music, handicraft bazaar, food vendors, sponsor booths, an exhibition of Indian art and culture, activities for children, demonstrations, and so much more! Marvelous Music Family Series: Antonio Rocha presents “Kailedoscopia” 
Cary Arts Center, 11 a.m.
Welcome to Antonio Rocha’s world of mime, sound effects, zany characters, physical comedy, and one-of-a-kind storytelling. You will be spellbound by myths, the absurd, and the poetic. Carpenter Park Family Fun Day
Carpenter Park, 1-6 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon full of fall-themed arts and crafts, family-friendly entertainment,  and food, and tour Good Hope Farm and the community garden! Experience Cary history in the making inside our living art structure, The Gourd Tunnel, and learn firsthand how to grow a happy, healthy garden.
