Cary, NC – Enjoy local food farmed in Cary, local beer from Bond Brothers Beer Company and local music from Charles Pettee at Good Hope Farm’s Farm to Fork Fundraiser on Saturday, October 7 from 2-4 p.m. at Good Hope Farm. Chef and farmer David "Flip" Filippini of KoKyu Na'Mean will serve up a menu featuring produce from his own plot at Good Hope Farm and from other local farmers. A blackberry basil saison from Bond Brothers Beer Company will be on tap, made from basil grown at the farm. Come enjoy local food, beer, and music from Charles Pettee. A silent auction will also be held. Tickets to the event are $35 and can be purchased online.
Proceeds will support Good Hope Farm. Attending this fund raiser is a great way to support the local food movement as well as a unique and special way to enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the charm of our historic Good Hope Farm site. Attendees will get the rare chance to step back in time, surrounded by authentic farm buildings such as the “ham house” and “ordering shed” as well as the beauty of a vibrant operating farm. Purchasing a ticket means you are helping to support programs that connect local farmers with education, tools, and resources that they need to break into the field of agribusiness and ensures that we will continue to have access to truly locally grown produce in a rapidly developing urban area.
The event will be held rain or shine. If the celebration needs to be moved from the farm due to weather, the rain location will be shared with attendees no later than 8 a.m. the morning of the event.
