Cary, NC, August 6, 2018 – SMG is pleased to announce the appointment of Taylor Traversari as the General Manager of Cary-owned and SMG-managed Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, NC.

Traversari brings more than twenty years of experience to the role with a variety of entertainment venues and festivals. Most recently he has served as the Raleigh Convention Center Assistant Director and General Manager at Red Hat Amphitheater. He has also been responsible for producing the critically acclaimed Wide Open Bluegrass Festival and July 4th Festival in downtown Raleigh.

According to Dolly Vogt, SMG Regional General Manager, "In a field of very accomplished candidates the Town of Cary and SMG is pleased to have completed this search and feel extremely lucky to have found Taylor in our own backyard. After seeing his success in other area venues, we are confident he will take Booth Amphitheatre to a new level."

A seasoned entertainment veteran Traversari is eager to put his talent and experience to work in Cary. According to Traversari, “My lifetime passion for music and live entertainment began as a child and has continued throughout my life. The move to a beautiful and treasured venue like Booth Amphitheatre presents a new challenge and chapter for me. I look forward to continuing the success and setting even higher goals for this remarkable venue.”

Traversari was selected after a search of candidates both within SMG and the facility management industry.  “His broad experience in the industry, leadership skills, positive ties to the Triangle and complimentary relationships with bookers and artists made him a natural choice,” adds Cary Cultural Arts Manager Lyman Collins. Collins, along with other Town Staff, participated heavily in the final selection process.

SMG, a leading provider of management services to a wide variety of facilities both nationally and internationally, has been contracted by the Town of Cary since 2001 to provide general management for Booth Amphitheatre. Traversari replaces Liz McDonald, who recently left the venue to pursue other interests in Florida.
