Friday, July 13

Bands, Bites & Boats
Bond Park Boathouse, 6-8 p.m.
Get your friends and family together and enjoy an evening by the lake. This month features Chris Overstreet performing, food by MoonRunners Food Truck and Bruster's Real Ice Cream, with brews by Southern Peak Brewery!

Music @ The Cary: Six String Presents: Chuck Brodsky with Mark Bunn
The Cary Theater, 8 p.m.
Chuck Brodsky is a storyteller, songwriter, troubadour and a modern-day bard. With only his acoustic guitar and his voice, he’ll draw you in with genuine, down-to-earth warmth and his quirky, finely crafted songs. Using wit and irony, set to haunting melodies, he tells the stories of oddball and underdog characters through his syncopated guitar strumming or sweet finger-picking. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling (800) 514-3849, in person at the Cary Box Office located at The Cary Theater (122 E. Movies by MoonlightStar Wars: The Last Jedi (PG-13)
Koka Booth Amphitheater, 8:30 p.m.
For a mere $5, kids 12 and under are free, patrons can bring a blanket or chair as the spacious lawn at Booth Amphitheatre is transformed into an outdoor movie theatre. For more, visit Koka Booth Events. 

USSSA Atlantic Coast World Series
Field Locations: Bond Park, Middle Creek, Thomas Brooks, Green Hope High, various game times

Saturday, July 14

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Locally grown food and locally made products, your community gathering place for everything local! Steve Holcomb, a one man show of great music, will perform. Our kids activities this Saturday include Story Time at the Market, building a Fairy Garden, Sandpaper crafts, Cary Crayola Meltdown, planting in the demonstration garden, and Bocce Ball around back

Summerfest 2018: The Music of Tom Petty
Koka Booth Amphitheater, 7:30 - 9 p.m.
Celebrate the life and music of rock icon Tom Petty with a singer and full rock band joining the Symphony to perform favorites like “Learning to Fly,” “Free Falling,” “American Girl,” and “You Wreck Me.” For more, visit Koka Booth events.  

Sertoma Series: All-Nite Public Radio
Sertoma Amphitheater, 7 p.m.
All-Nite Public Radio (ANPR) is a jazz fusion band with roots in Durham. The band derives its name from the ability to play different musical styles; listening to ANPR is like pushing scan on your radio at night, you never know what you’ll hear. It is the black experience brought to life through jazz, soul, funk, r&b, hip hop, gospel, and rock. Although there is variety in the styles of music, the common theme in ANPR is improvisation. That means the music is spontaneous. The members bring more than 122 combined years of experience to the stage.

Comedy @ The Cary: Larry Weaver and David Ferrell

Larry Weaver is a nationally-touring, clean comedian based right here in the Triangle. His easy-going demeanor, Southern charm and quick wit have won the hearts of audiences across America. David Ferrell has delighted audiences across America with a high-energy mixture of hilarious humor and outrageous impressions.
