Friday, April 13

Cary Town Band presents Friday the 13th
Cary Arts Center, 7:30 p.m.
Do you suffer from triskaidekaphobia (fear of the number 13) or worse, yet, paraskevidekatriaphobia (fear of Friday the 13th)? If so, THIS is the concert for you! We celebrate the number 13 by playing music that demonstrates that such phobias may be well founded–or not. Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Locally grown food and locally made products, your community gathering place for everything local! This weekend is our opening day for the regular Market season! This weekend we will celebrate our opening with several special events.   We will have Loos Change performing, and a special ceremony at 10:00 a.m. with several Town Council members and Town staff participating.  We will have a special giveaway so be sure to celebrate with your neighbors on the opening of Cary’s Farmers Market.

Cary Road Race
Downtown Cary, 9:30 a.m.
Join us for the 40th Anniversary of the Cary Road Race as we return to where it all started in Downtown Cary! In addition to a 5K, 5-Miler, and Fun Run, enjoy live music, food trucks, local beer, family-friendly activities, and more. Triangle Wind Ensemble presents Spanish Spring/Primavera Espanol
Cary Arts Center, 7:30 p.m.
TWE presents a wide-ranging program of music written by Spanish composers for the numerous professional Banda Sinfonias (Symphonic Bands) that are popular in Spain.
