Portion of American Tobacco Trail closes to connect to new pedestrian tunnel
Weather permitting, a 1,000-foot section of the American Tobacco Trail between Morrisville Parkway and New Hope Church Road will be closed January 8-12.
The closure will allow contractors working on behalf of the Town to realign the trail into a new pedestrian tunnel under the extension of Yates Store Road.
When the closure is in effect, signs will be posted at trail entrances to let citizens know of the closure.
The American Tobacco Trail is a 23-mile trail that stretches from the western edge of Apex through Wake, Chatham and Durham Counties on its way to downtown Durham.
