Join the Fall Litter Sweep and Help Spruce Up Cary

  • The Town of Cary provides the tools and supplies needed.

Cary, NC – Take your community pride outside on November 11 for the Town of Cary’s Fall Litter Sweep. There are multiple locations and times available. Register online and join the Town at one of its existing sites, or suggest a location in your own neighborhood by emailing Either way, the Town provides the tools and supplies needed. Volunteers 15 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

“When volunteers participate in our community-wide litter sweeps they are doing their part to not just keep Cary clean and green but to also make a big difference in the ecological health of our state and the world at large,” said Sarah Justice, Environmental Outreach Program Coordinator.   

Since Spruce was founded in 2009, Cary has hosted over 4,000 projects with the generous support of more than 25,000 volunteers that have collected almost 200,000 pounds of litter. For more information, visit Spruce and follow Cary It Green on Facebook.
