Cary, N.C. – The final performance of the Starlight Concert Series has shifted in date but not in appeal as Raleigh-based reggae band Jamrock’s performance at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center Garden, 119 Ambassador Loop, moves to Saturday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. This replaces the original date of Aug. 4 and is the final free concert in the lively series. Closing out its 19th season, the Starlight Concert Series brings citizens of all ages together to enjoy music in a unique venue that invites everyone to explore a different side of downtown Cary.

Jamrock plays music that transports listeners to the tropics, no matter where they are. The band was founded in 1995 through the desire of a few Jamaicans to hear authentic reggae music, featuring true “yard style” reggae. Its repertoire includes lovers’ rock, oldies, dancehall, and roots reggae, as well as some covers of popular American tunes.

Free public parking is available adjacent to Page-Walker on Town Hall campus, as well as at the Town Hall parking deck on Wilkinson Avenue. Accessible entrance to the garden is on the north end via a ramp. Picnics and lawn chairs are permitted; however, pets and alcohol are prohibited. Frozen treats will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, concert goers can visit for updated information.
