Inspiration from original Polaroid SX-70 film and camera, which created instant, square, color photographs. The SX-70 was extremely successful in the marketplace, with famous artists such as David Hockney, Walker Evans, Andy Warhol, and even Ansel Adams using this magical instrument to create their art. This exhibit will comprise original Polaroid images from the 1970s. However, they are not the original three-inch square captures. In a nod to our digital era, the artist has scanned the photos in order to print slightly larger versions for easier gallery viewing. Minimal software processing was used to remain faithful to the unique and less-than-perfect original color rendering of the Polaroid prints. For more, Galleries.
