Regular fixed route services will not operate on Town observed employee holidays.
GoCary Service Hours of Operation
Monday through Saturday, approximately 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- 6-9 a.m., 3-8 p.m. (Service available every 30 minutes at stops along North-South, East-West routes and every 60 minutes at stops along the Maynard Loop Routes 1 and 2)
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Service available every 60 minutes)
Inclement Weather Policy
During times of inclement weather, GoCary fixed route and Door To Door services will operate based on weather reports, road conditions or high winds. When service runs in extreme conditions, service may be delayed or time schedules altered in the interest of safety. The status of service operations can be checked by calling GoCary operations at (919) 481-2020.
If you are signed up for Town email alerts, you will receive updates on service adjustments during inclement weather. In addition, for fixed route riders, notifications will be provided on the “Transloc” App, GoLive, which can be downloaded for free if you have a smart phone.
There may be times when GoCary fixed route service may operate when Door to Door service does not operate, since fixed routes operate primarily on major streets. If fixed routes are provided during inclement weather, Tier I trips will be the only Door To Door service provided, but contingent on secondary road conditions.
