As a part of the new Wake County Transit Plan, GoCary has proposed a few service changes to benefit the public, slated to start August 6, 2017. This is in concert with other transit providers in the County to ensure regional mobility for all.                                   

The proposed GoCary changes would extend services on Sunday (all Fixed Route and Paratransit), as well as increase midday frequencies for Routes 3, 4, 5 and 6, Mon-Sat. These changes would be funded by new revenues from the one-half cent sales tax approved last November by voters in Wake County.

The Wake County FY 2018 (July 2017- August 2018) Draft Work Plan outlines complementary proposed improvements to the GoCary, GoRaleigh, GoTriangle, and WakeTRACS systems that can be made beginning in 2017 without needing new buses.
