Watershed Implementation Plan
(The Town Council approved the Northwest Cary Area Plan at its Sept. 12, 2002 meeting.)
Implementation (Spring 2003)
The Town staff has been working since fall 2002 with the state Department of Transportation to secure tunnels and bridge crossings of the future I-540 Western Wake Expressway for the greenways and multi-use paths recommended by the Northwest Cary Area Plan.
Town staff hired a consultant in March 2003 to begin work on a watershed management plan and water quality study for the Jordan Lake water supply watershed portion of the northwest area, as recommended by the Northwest Area Plan.
