WEEKEND UPDATE
WEEKEND UPDATE is a publication from the Town of Cary distributed each Thursday afternoon to help you plan your weekend news coverage. WEEKEND UPDATE gives the date, time, location, contact person, and short description for any significant activity sponsored in whole or in part by the Town during the upcoming Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. A NR designation indicates that the activity does have an associated news release, so check your files or visit us online for further details.
The length of each WEEKEND UPDATE will vary depending on the number of activities scheduled, and when, on that rare occasion, there are no weekend activities to report, no WEEKEND UPDATE will be issued.

Workshop, 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon, Cary Teen Council's
annual Holiday Celebration. This is a drop-in activity
for children ages 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
Entertainment by the Briarcliff Elementary Chorus begins
at 10:00 AM, holiday make it/take it craft tables open
immediately after entertainment, visit from Santa at

- Holiday tree lighting, concert, and open house, 6:00
PM, downtown Cary outside Town Hall, 316 N. Academy
Street. Entertainment provided by A Song For All
Seasons, Inis Cairde Irish Dancers, Cary High School
Concert Chorus, and the Cary Town Band. Reception
following at Page Walker Arts and History Center with
live jazz by the Corbi-Thompson Quartet and free
