PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT AT DAVIS DRIVE WIDENING WORKSHOP
CARY, NC The Town of Cary is holding a public workshop to give residents and interested citizens an opportunity to have input prior to formal design of the Davis Drive Widening project. The workshop will be held on Thursday, November 4th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Page Walker Arts and History Center. The $4.5 million Davis Drive Widening Project is only one of several roadway projects approved in the $139 million February 2nd Cary Community Bonds that included $62.635 million for streets and sidewalks in Cary.
"This project is extremely important to the citizens of Cary and the region as it will help ease traffic congestion in the RTP corridor," said Engineering Division Director Tim Bailey. "We want to obtain information from the public to use in the design of this roadway so that it meets everyone's needs in the best possible way."
At the open house style workshop, Town staff members, as well as staff from TransSystems, the firm which will be designing the project, will be available to discuss the project one on one. Base maps will be available for discussion purposes.
Questions and comments from the workshop will be posted on the project web page on the Town's website. After the preliminary design is completed, a second public workshop will be held prior to the finalization of the plans.
