Spring Sertoma Series presents the Cary Town Band - NR

as a part of the annual Cary Performs

Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park, 7:30 p.m.

The Cary Town Band will present a concert of music mostly from the 1800’s and early 1900’s. This will include favorite overtures, polkas, waltzes, circus music, American and foreign marches.  The band is 33 musicians, reminiscent of turn-of-the-century bands of small towns across America . FREE.

2008 USTA National Campus Championship

Cary Tennis Park , 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

This showcase event is a national effort by the United States Tennis Association, National Intramural Recreational Sports Association, World Team Tennis and Intercollegiate Tennis Association to grow tennis on college campuses by building and improving recreational tennis opportunities for college students throughout the country.  This is an exciting event to watch, come out and cheer for your favorite college teams.

 Join us for the second annual Cary Performs event! Cary Performs celebrates  

 and highlights local performing groups who will showcase their talents for the

 public. Performances include the Applause! Youth Theatre, Cary Players, Cary Ballet, Philharmonic Association, Triangle Wind Ensemble, and Triangle Brass Band. FREE.

SK8 Cary Skateboarding Contest      

SK8 Cary 2040 NW Maynard Rd , noon-8 p.m.

Our annual Spring Skateboarding Contest is here again!  We have beginner, intermediate, expert, and best trick categories, so no matter what your ability there is a place for you.  Register and pay fees at SK8 Cary.  Fees vary depending on the registration date.  Registration for the Expert Category is only available on the day of the contest.

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre presents Scapino!

Cary Senior Center , 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m. )

Enjoy an evening of hilarious punks, pranks and payback as teens from Applause!’s Masters in Acting perform Scapino!.  This funny, funky, slapstick farce is based on the classic play by Molière.  Admission is free, but bring cash for concessions to support Cary Teen Council.
