TRAFFIC ALERT

 

Weather permitting, the Town of Cary will permanently shift the westbound lane of Tryon Road between Piney Plains Road and Ambience Lane/Thornewood Drive onto the newly paved, median-divided section on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.   At the same time, left turns onto Tryon Road will be permanently restricted from the following:  Frostwood Drive , Autumn Circle, Pink Acres Street, Ambience Lane/ Thornewood Drive , and Cary Health and Rehabilitation Center .  Motorists must turn right and make a U-turn to travel left on Tryon Road .  

 

Motorists can expect heavy delays while the traffic pattern changes are being installed; police will direct motorists through the area.  In case of inclement weather, the work will occur on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 .  The work is necessary as part of the Tryon Road Widening Project.
