CARY POLICE SEEK HELP IN identifying CREDIT CARD THIEF WHO TARGETS FEMALE EMPLOYEES

CARY , NC The Town of Cary Police Department is asking for your help in identifying a man that has been targeting females employed at local businesses by stealing their credit cards; the suspect has allegedly charged at least $5,600 on three victim’s credit cards in the past four months.  The latest incident occurred on Friday, August 31, when the suspect stole an employee’s wallet at Pharma Directions, 5001 Weston Parkway in Cary , and used two of the victim’s credit cards at several locations, including at Harris Teeter, 5563 Western Boulevard , Raleigh .

Shown here at the Harris Teeter, the suspect is described as a black male with a husky build.  The suspect may also be driving a black SUV, which may be a Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Avalanche.  He is also linked to two additional incidences that occurred earlier this year in May and August.

On May 31, the suspect stole a female employee’s wallet at Sanford Holshouser LLP, 201 Shannon Oaks Circle in Cary, and charged items on the victim’s credit card at Walmart, 2010 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary , and at two gas stations.  Also on August 3, a female employee of N.C. Dental Society, 1600 Evans Road in Cary, reported that someone stole her wallet from her purse and that her cards were used at stores in Raleigh and Burlington.

In all of the incidences, the suspect entered the building and attempted to blend in with other employees before stealing the cards.  The suspect then used the credit cards at several locations until the spending limits were reached on the cards.
