TOWN OF CARY 10 MOST WANTED DROPS TO 7

 

CARY, NC –America’s 9th Safest City’s “10 Most Wanted” list of crime suspects dropped to seven on Friday when the #5 suspect was caught in Texas.  Jose Jesus Lopez was arrested around 1 p.m. CST by the United States Marshall's Violent Fugitive Task Force in Gainesville, Texas, where he is awaiting extradition.

 

Formerly of 10084 Old US 421 in Broadway, NC, police suspect Lopez, 30, of "Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury" and "Common Law Robbery" for an incident that took place on November 27, 2000, at 4 a.m. at 318 Webster Street. 

 

Cary’s 10 Most Wanted list was established on November 19, 2004, in hopes of shedding new light on some of the community’s oldest and most severe offenses, including murder, attempted murder, rape, armed robbery and kidnapping dating back to 1999.  Since being announced, police have captured Tonia Denice Kizer and Joe Edward Burroughs.

 

Town of Cary Police continue to search for the seven remaining suspects currently on the “10 Most Wanted” list, photos of whom are available online at www.townofcary.org.
