HAS FIRST ARMED ROBBERY OF THE NEW YEAR
CARY
,
NC
– The Town of
Cary Police Department
is asking for your help in identifying
and apprehending a suspect who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early New
Year’s Day. At
1:42 a.m.
January 1, 2004
, a man entered the Kangaroo convenience store at
1032 North Harrison Avenue
in
Cary
and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspect was carrying a small, black handgun--possibly a revolver.
The suspect fled the scene in a small red car.
The clerk was not injured.
The suspect is as a
white male, 35-50 years old, 5'6 to 5'11, 160 - 170 lbs., brown
or black hair, black and gray beard, baseball hat, dark wire-rimmed square
sunglasses, black jacket, blue jeans, and a blue shirt.
Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information
leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for
this crime. Anyone with information
