ENVISION CARY WRAPS UP WITH PUBLIC MEETING

CARY , NC The Town of Cary is holding a community meeting to report on what citizens have said online and to get additional citizen feedback on proposed principles and policies for the vision element chapter of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan.  The meeting will be held tomorrow night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Cary Senior Center in Bond Park.

The meeting is part of enVision Cary, a community effort to solidify a vision for Cary for the next 20 years.  The policies and principles resulting from enVision Cary will help guide key areas of Town planning, from transportation and growth and development to schools and public involvement in the planning and development process.

Results from the meeting, as well as from enVision Cary’s online poll and threaded discussion, will be presented to the Cary Town Council at their annual planning retreat the weekend of February 27, 2004.  At the retreat, staff will request that Council set a date a public hearing on the vision element.
