November Teen Scene Events

 

So You Have Your License…Now What? (age: 15 and up) 
Saturday, November 22,
10 a.m. Noon , FREE
Bond Park Community Center
License, car keys, tank filled...oh yeah, don't forget your brain!  This free teen-to-teen clinic will teach you the life skills that Driver's Ed didn't.  Speakers include an insurance agent, police traffic officer and a SADD representative.  Participate in a car maintenance demonstration and learn how to check your oil, change a tire and much more!  Receive a practical handbook with step-by-step instructions for sticky situations.  Refreshments provided.  Register in advance using course code 16138.  For further information call (919) 460-4965.  Presented by: Laura Robertson (Girl Scout Gold Award project).
 

Teen Movie Night (age: middle/high school)
Saturday, November 22,
8 – 10 p.m. - Shanghai Knights, Rated PG-13
Cary Senior Center , Bond Park, FREE
On the fourth Saturday of each month, come and watch movies with no brothers and sisters, no parents and NO HIGH PRICES!  There will be door prizes and a chance to win the DVD!  The movie is free, but bring a few extra dollars to buy movie-style concessions to support the Cary Teen Council.  Gates will open at
7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
