CARY POLICE RELEASE NAME OF VICTIM

 

CARY , NC The victim in this morning’s hit and run is Kristina Grahn, 18, of 108 Drywood Place in Cary .  She is a senior at Cary High School .  

Grahn was struck just before 7 a.m. by a green Ford F150 or F250 pickup truck driven by an older white man.  The driver fled the scene, leaving Grahn critically injured on Maynard Road .  Grahn was taken to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh in critical condition.   

Witnesses say that Grahn was in the pedestrian crosswalk when the suspect vehicle struck her as he was attempting a turn.  Parts of the truck’s front end were left on the street from the impact.  The suspect was last seen traveling west on Maynard Road towards Kildaire Farm Road .  

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the truck—which has a damaged front end—to contact them immediately.
