UPDATE--SUSPECT SOUGHT IN EARLY MORNING HIT AND RUN

 

CARY, NC – Cary Police continue the search for an older white male who hit a female Cary High School senior and left the scene shortly before 7 a.m. in front of Cary High School.  Witnesses say that the student was in the pedestrian crosswalk when the man, driving a green Ford F150 or F250 pickup truck, struck her as he was attempting a turn.  Parts of the truck’s front end were left on the street from the impact.  The suspect was last seen traveling west on Maynard Road towards Kildaire Farm Road .  

The victim was taken to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh in critical condition.
