New Equipment Requirements for Skateboarders at Sk8-Cary and Godbold Park  

In response to legislation from the North Carolina General assembly, the Town has adopted an Ordinance requiring that “every person operating a skateboard within Robert V. Godbold Park wear a protective helmet with the chin strap security fastened under the chin, protective elbow pads and kneepads”.  This ordinance covers not only Sk8-Cary skate park but also the entire Godbold Park property and is effective beginning November 1, 2003 .  For more information, please see Code of Ordinances, Amendments under the Site Index at www.townofcary.org.
