SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CARY GROCERY BANK ROBBERY

 

CARY , NC – Robert Gattis Jr., 40, has been arrested for the October 3, 2003 armed robbery of the Central Carolina Bank inside the Harris Teeter food store at the intersection of High House Road and Highway 55 in western Cary .   

He was apprehended by members of the Durham Police Department this morning at the Red Roof Inn at I-40 and NC HWY 55 where he has apparently been staying for the last three months.

Gattis is being charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.  

Gattis is being interviewed this afternoon at the Durham Police Department.  He will later be transferred to the Cary Police Department and then on to the Wake County Public Safety Center in Raleigh .
