Diwali: Indian Festival of Lights

 

Cary Diwali Celebration
Saturday, October 18, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Amphitheatre at Regency Park .

Cary Diwali Celebration features classical/folk music and dance shows, skits, a bazaar for handmade crafts and clothing, a variety of foods from India , exhibits showing the celebration of Diwali in India , culminating with fireworks. Headlining this year's festival is the sensational a capella performance ensemble, Penn Masala, known for belting out tunes that fuse Hindi Bollywood classics with contemporary pop. Diwali, meaning “a row of lights”, is the most widely celebrated Hindu festival. Hum Sub, Inc. presents this event with support from the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. This concert is free and open to the public.
