--TRAFFIC ALERT--  

SATURDAY BAND DAY WILL AFFECT TRAVEL
IN CENTRAL CARY

Several roads in Cary will be closed on Saturday, November 1, 2003 due to the 45th Annual Cary Band Day parade and field show.   

Traffic along the downtown parade route will be affected from 9 a.m. until Noon .  From the intersection of East Chatham at East Durham west to South Academy Street, south to Dry Avenue, around the east side of Cary Elementary School, east on Walnut Street to the intersection of Cary Towne Boulevard, turning right and proceeding to Cary High School. West Chatham will be also closed temporary from Harrison Avenue to Academy Street .  

Streets along the parade route will reopen after the police trail vehicle passes and pedestrian traffic is cleared.  

Walnut Street between SE Maynard Road and Cary Towne Boulevard will be closed from 6 a.m. until at least midnight on Saturday night for visiting band bus parking.
